So here are some of my all-time favorite movies, then, in no particular order, except, I think, that in which I first got to see them:

Barbarella (1968, d. Roger Vadim)
Seeing Jane Fonda floating naked at the beginning of this psychedelic Sixties sci-fi romp during Middle School completely removed any possibilities of homosexuality in my future.
A Clockwork Orange (1971, d. Stanley Kubrick)
Punk-ass teens who haven't read the Anthony Burgess novel like I did when I was their age (and probably can't even read anyway) consider it one of their faves, too, which, in my opinion, doesn't bode all that well for the rest of society.
The Party (1968, d. Blake Edwards)
I swear, I go to parties like this every weekend.
Blade Runner (1982, d. Ridley Scott)
If only the director's cut hadn't censored the scene where Batty squishes Tyrell's face, I'm telling you, it would've been perfect!
The Kid with the Golden Arm (1979, d. Chang Cheh)
Whoever wrote (or translated) the script for the English dubbing was a genius: "These men... are all going to die."
Buckaroo Banzai, The Adventures of, Across the Eighth Dimension (1984, d. W. D. Richter)
Without a doubt, the best end-credit sequence ever.
Highlander (1986, d. Russell Mulcahy)
Such a great concept. Too bad the sequels sucked.
Brazil (1985, d. Terry Gilliam)
Sure, I could've picked It's a Wonderful Life or Cinderella, but this is the most romantic of them all, even without the happy ending.
The Killer (1989, d. John Woo)
I never looked at a Hollywood action-flick the same way again after this one.
