Trekma Quotes is a scrolling list of quotations, excerpts and noises collected by Trekma creator Jinsoo Kang and hidden within the game.

How to unlock[edit]

At the outset of the game, the communicator item offers only three selections; by using the replicator near Ten Forward and finishing three plates of Lo Mein, the following message is received—

Lo Mein overload!
You have conquered the Island!
Thou hast attained the level of avatar!
Seek within thine premier item.

—and "Trekma Quotes" becomes available on the list:

References[edit]

  1. Colloquialism for "Let's play a game of Street Fighter II."
  2. Secret code phrase coined by Nam Jae Yoon, which meant "Close the door and jam the kendo sword or folding chair under the doorknob at an angle, so that I can view my pr0n without being caught."
  3. Kiai used by Raiden when performing his signature special move, the Torpedo. There have been several other interpretations of the outcry (such as "Your mother's from L.A."), but unlike most others that attempt to form logical phrases, this version is an onomatopoeia that is much closer to the actual construct, which has been confirmed as being pure gibberish.
  4. The majority if not all of Japanese manga/anime hit man Golgo 13's dialogue.
  5. D'Angelo's is a sandwich chain exclusive to New England. They would flirt with western expansion in the 90's, but like the location in Houston, Texas were crushed by local cheesesteak competition.
  6. Not one and the same pedestrian with skipping jump response to an abrupt stop nowhere near his person at a Boston intersection.
  7. "The Mountain Dew Blues" is from a collection of compositions on the subject of the deleterious effects of Mountain Dew.
  8. Ultrek, like Trekma, is a portmanteau of Ultima and Star Trek, but in retrospect failed to become the superior alternative, much as "lunner" and "dinfast" never did quite catch on despite a rigorous campaign of Texadelphia and leftovers.
  9. "Buy [it] for me" in Korean (사줘), though the romanization strays from the accepted standard, hinting at a specialized linguistic development similar to ebonics. "Euffonics", anyone?
  10. Chicken testicles are a delicacy once (and only once) tried by the contributor.
