Granted it was two years ago, but last time I went abroad I didn't experience the reported difficulty at customs with my then-shiny new MacBook that's making its rounds (which is not to say I'd ever suspect a trend in alarmism over alarmism), so my wish for one of these from Japan might be stymied.
