The missing holodeck program

Use the holodeck and there are two choices:

—namely, Troi program NAMJAE-1 and Snowboarding program JAECHUL-3. So what happened to No.2? Was it cut for content, or to meet the release deadline? Were programming tools available at the time insufficient to do justice to its conceptual ambitions? Or is it, in fact, the "Ultima" adventure that Kuan has later in the game, and what's really missing is a final scene as he emerges from the holodeck program?

Program origins[edit]

Troi program NAMJAE-1: While most holodeck programs are developed for educational/training or entertainment purposes, this particular program serves a humorous (some may even deem, cruel) agenda. Here, the programmer presents the possibility of sexual gratification, sending certain players into a state of euphoria, only to have their dreams crushed by an impenetrable wall that surrounds the object of their desire[1][2].

Snowboarding program JAECHUL-3: This entertainment/training program captures one of the favorite outdoor activities of Jaechul Yun, during his early adulthood.

Re-creation attempts[edit]

Researchers have reached their own conclusions about the mystery and are currently at work re-creating the lost program.
